Jagan's Health Deteriorates

The health condition of the fasting former Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy showed mild signs of deterioration on Monday as his Deeksha entered fourth day. A team of doctors visited the hunger strike camp at Indira Park and examined Jagan. The young leader is running mild temperature and complained of weakness.
Jagan had launched his week-long Deeksha on February 18, demanding immediate clearance of fee reimbursement dues in the interests of the student community. Apart from a large number of students, as many as 19 MLAs attended his Deeksha camp and expressed solidarity with him.
Though the government had sought resolve the issue by holding talks with the representatives of private professional colleges and released Rs 600 crore towards partial clearance of the dues, Jagan has refused to end his stir. His Deeksha is scheduled to conclude on February 24.
“The government will be responsible if anything happens to Jagan’s health,” warned Konda Surekha, the fiery MLA from Warangal district and a key follower of the rebel camp. She said that “Chalo Assembly” would be organized on February 24, to expose the government’s failure on fee reimbursement issue.
